The Tamil Nadu Government’s Directorate of Medical Education and Research Selection Committee is set to release the admission notification for Diploma in Nursing Courses in July 2025. This application will release for admission in Diploma in Nursing Course for 2025-2026 session in Tamil Nadu Government Medical Colleges. This is three years diploma Programme. The Government of Tamil Nadu’s Directorate of Medical Education and Research Selection Committee will release the admission notification for Diploma in Nursing Courses in July 2025. Aspiring nursing candidates can apply for this 3-year diploma program, which will equip them with the skills and knowledge required to become a nurse.
TN Nursing Diploma 2025: Educational Qualifications
- Candidates should have passed in all the subjects of the qualifying examination of the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination conducted by the Tamil Nadu State Board /any other equivalent Board in the following group of subjects.
TN Nursing Diploma 2025: Common Eligibility
- The candidate should be a citizen of India.
- Candidates should be Native of Tamil Nadu.
- Only women Candidates are eligible to apply Diploma in Nursing Courses.
- Candidates belonging to other States cannot claim nativity of Tamil Nadu.
- Candidates who are Native of Tamil Nadu and who have studied 6TH standard to 12TH standard in schools of Tamil Nadu should also produce Nativity Certificate and Community Certificate issued by the competent authority.
- Candidate must be Secure minimum Qualify marks in HSC with 40% of aggregate of marks. (For OC, BC, BCM & MBC/DNC Candidates).
- For SC/SCA/ST candidates – A pass in Higher Secondary Course.
TN Nursing Diploma 2025: Age Limit
- Minimum Age – 17 Years Old on 31 December 2025.
- Maximum Age – 35 Years. Old.
TN Nursing Diploma 2025: Registration Fee
- The fees for online application process is Rs.300/- and should be paid via bank portal.
How to Apply for TN Nursing Courses Admission 2025-26 ?
Step-1: Visit the official website of the Directorate of Medical Education and Research Selection Committee, Tamil Nadu.
Step-2: Click on the “Diploma in Nursing Admission 2025” link and read the notification carefully.
Step-3: Fill in the online application form with the required personal and educational details.
Step-4: Upload the necessary documents, including the HSC mark sheet, transfer certificate, and community certificate (if applicable).
Step-5: Pay the application fee through online payment modes (credit/debit card or net banking).
Step-6: Submit the application form and take a printout for future reference.
TN Nursing Diploma 2025: Seats Filling
- 65% of the seats will be filled up with candidates in the following subjects.
- Physics, Chemistry, Biology with any other subject.
- Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology.
- 25% of the seats will be filled up with candidates in the following subjects.
- Vocational Nursing.
- Foundation Science as Vocational subject.
Required Documents to Uploading at the time of TN GNM Registration 2025
- The Mark sheet(s) of H.S.C. examination/any other Equivalent examination duly endorsed by the competent authority.
- Transfer certificate obtained after the completion of H.S.C. or Equivalent course in both sides.

- 10th standard Mark Sheet
- Certificate for proof of study from 6th standard to 12th standard (candidate if studied in Tamil Nadu)

- Within 30% reservation for BC, 3.5% reservation will be provided for BC Muslims.
- 16% of seats out of 18% quota earmarked to SC shall be allotted to the Arunthathiyar community.
- BC, BCM, MBC/DNC, SC, SCA & ST candidates are eligible for selection under open competition as per merit in addition to the reservation made for them.
TN Nursing Diploma 2025: Stipend
The stipend will be paid as follows for the students admitted in Diploma in Nursing course from 2025-2026 session:

TN Nursing Diploma 2025: Counselling & Merit List
- The counseling and admission process will be conducted in September-October 2025.
- Candidates will be called for counseling based on their merit rank.
- Candidates must bring the required original documents and certificates to the counseling venue.
- The admission process will be completed after the verification of documents and payment of admission fees.

Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (HSC) with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate and studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) as compulsory subjects.
