NIRF 2025 Ranking Releasing Date 2025-The NIRF ranking is done for various institutes in India which government of India Ministry of Education initiative. The institutes operating in different stream are asked to submit their credential and based on the data provided and the parameter set by NIRF, ranking is released.

In 2024 the three categories were added these are open education, state university university and skill university.
It will be interesting to see year which other categories are included for ranking. The position also changes in the ranking. Recently NIRF closed their window for submitting the details by the institute. The last date to submit the data was by 31 January 2025. This is the last date to submit the data.
This will be the tenth edition of NIRF . As part of the annual exercise, universities and other educational institutes across India are ranked based on significant parameters.
There are a total of five parameters which are as follows:
- Teaching, Learning and Resources
- Research and Professional Practices
- Graduation Outcomes
- Outreach and Inclusivity
- Perception
As informed in the official website, the NIRF ranking methodology draws from the overall recommendations understanding arrived at by a Core Committee set up by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD).
NIRF Rankings are given in the following categories:
- Overall
- Universities
- Colleges
- Research Institutions
- Engineering
- Management
- Pharmacy
- Medical
- Dental
- Law
- Architecture and Planning
- Agriculture and Allied Sectors
- Innovation
- Open University
- Skill University
- State Public University
The last three categories are the latest additions to the ranking categories, included last year.
NIRF Ranking 2024: Overview
Three new categories included which is mentioned above. In the engineering category IIT Madras tops the chart and in overall category. In Management category it is IIM Ahamedabad tops the chart. In Medical category it is AIIMS Delhi which held the top position for last so many year. In university category IISc Banglore tops the chart.
In Dental category it is the private institution which shine better than the public institution as Saveetha institute of Medical and Technical Sciences tops the chart.
In Pharmacy it is Jamia Hamdard which is number one. In agriculture science it is ICAR Delhi which is number one
The NIRF Rankings 2024 were announced by Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on August 12 at a special program held at the Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
IT Madras topped the overall category followed by IISc Bengaluru in second place, IIT Bombay in the third position.
