GATE 2025 Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates should have completed or be in the final year of their Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or Master’s degree in any relevant science subject.
• Graduation degree in B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch./B. Planning or Equivalent.
• Nationality: Indian nationals as well as international candidates from Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Ethiopia, and UAE are eligible.
• Age Limit: There is no age limit for appearing in GATE.

MARKS DISTURIBUTION:

1. distribution Of Marks In All Papers Except AR, CY, DA, EY, GG, MA, PH, ST, XH and XL.
2. General Aptitude – 15 marks
3. Engineering Mathematics – 13 marks
4. Subject Questions – 72 marks

GATE 2025 Marking Scheme

• There will be 1-mark or 2-marks for correct answer.

• For 1-Mark answer – 1/3 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
• For 2-Marks answer- 2/3 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

1. Personal Information: Full name, date of birth, nationality, category, and address.
2. Educational Details: Degree certificate or provisional certificate, or mark sheet of the final year.
3. Photograph and Signature: Recent passport-sized photograph and signature in the specified format.
4. Category Certificate: If applicable, a valid certificate for SC/ST/PwD categories.
5. Identity Proof: A scanned copy of a valid photo identity proof (Aadhaar, Passport, Voter ID, etc.).
