With financial backing from the Maker Bhavan Foundation (MBF) and a kind grant from philanthropist Dr. Ranbir Singh, this maker space is open around-the-clock.
Aspiring engineers and makers can tinker, construct, and innovate at Tinkerers’ Lab. outfitted with cutting-edge equipment and instruments.
Give pupils access outside of school hours so they can realize their ideas.
At the opening ceremony, Dr. Ranbir Singh, an honorary alumnus of IIT, stated his vision: “𝑰𝒏𝒗𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉 𝒊𝒔 𝒄𝒓𝒖𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍. 𝑻𝒊𝒏𝒌𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒓𝒔’ 𝑳𝒂𝒃 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒅𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒄𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒓 𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒂𝒔 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒐 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚.
Dr. Rajeev Ahuja, Director of IIT Ropar, underlined the importance of hands-on learning, saying: “𝑨𝒕 𝑰𝑰𝑻 𝑹𝒐𝒑𝒂𝒓, 𝒘𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒗𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒔-𝒐𝒏 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈. 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑫𝒓.
