WBJEE is for selecting candidates for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate Professional, Vocational, and General Degree courses in the state, as well as to manage the online counselling process or otherwise adopting a single window approach.

3 More Universities added in WBJEE
In this year i.e. 2025 the total number of Eleven colleges accepting WBJEE score in West Bengal State. In previous year there were 8 universities in Bengal which accepted WBJEE score. This time 3 more universities have been added which accept WBJEE score to admission into under various courses. These New Colleges are:
1) Techno India University, West Bengal
2) Neotia University
3) Uttar Banga Krishi Vishwavidyalaya

About WBJEE 2025
The WBJEE exam is a State Level Entrance exam. WBJEEB will conduct a one-time OMR-based Common Entrance Examination (WBJEE-2025) for admission to Undergraduate courses in Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy, and Architecture for the 2025-26 academic session in various universities and institutes across West Benga.
Exam Schedule
The Exam will be held on April 27, 2025. This exam is consists Paper-I and Paper-II and Candidates appearing in both paper-I and Paper-II are eligible for a General Merit Rank (GMR) and a Pharmacy merit Rank (PMR).
Eligibility to appear for PMR
- Candidates appearing only in paper II are eligible for PMR only.
- Candidates appearing only in paper-I are not eligible for any rank.

Category-1
a) There is just one right answer. b) Each question will receive 1 (one) mark for the right answer.c) Each question will receive -¼ (25% negative) points for an erroneous response. d) Any combination of more than one option will be regarded as erroneous and will result in -¼ (25% negative) marks, even if the correct option is included. e) You will receive zero points for failing to attempt the question.
Category-2
a) There is just one right answer. b) Each question will receive two marks for the right answer.c) Each question will receive -1/2 (25% negative) marks for an incorrect response. d) Any combination of more than one option will be regarded as incorrect and will result in -1/2 (25% negative) marks, even if the correct option is included. e) You will receive zero points for failing to attempt the question.
Category-3
- one or more of the options is/are correct.
- You will receive 2 marks if you marks every choice correctly.
- Even if one or more of the selected alternatives is / are valid, any combination of answers that contain one or more incorrect options will be deemed incorrect and receive a zero.
- For answers that are partially accurate, that is, when nether all correct nor incorrect options are marked, the marks given are equal to 2 X (The number of marked correct options) / the total number of correct options.
- There will be no points awarded for failing to attempt the question.
GMR (General Merit Rank)
- General Merit Rank will be prepared based on the total scores obtained in Paper I and Paper II, Taken Together.
- Ranking shall be done in descending order of total marks scored in all the subjects.
- Separate reserved category merit positions will also be indicated for therespective category of students, e.g., SC Rank, ST Rank, OBC-A Rank, OBC-B Rank, EWS Rank, PwD Rank, TFW Rank, etc., as applicable.
- Admission to all Engineering / Technology / Architecture Courses and the Pharmacy Course at Jadavpur University will be based only on GMR.
PMR (Pharmacy Merit Rank)
- A sequence of Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR) will be prepared based on the score in paper II only, i.e., Physics and Chemistry.
- Ranking shall be done in the descending order of marks scored in paper II.
- Admission to all Pharmacy Courses except in Jadavpur University shall be made based on PMR
