The application process will begin from second week of April 2025. WBJEE will conduct the entrance test for admission to postgraduate courses (MA/MSc) at the Presidency College. The whole process is online, for filling out the application fee and paying of application fee. The west Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) will conduct OMR Based entrance test (PUMDET – 2025) and Counselling for admission to various postgraduate (M.A./ M.Sc.) Courses in west Bengal State for the academic session 2025-26.

- A graduate with honors or a major in a relevant subject
- There is no upper age restriction

WB PUMDET 2025 Exam Pattern
- In every paper, all questions will be of Multiple C h o i c e Questions (MCQ) type, with four options against each of the questions. There will 50 (fifty) questions in each paper with full marks 100 and time allotted will be 90 minutes.
WB PUMDET 2025 Marking Scheme
- There will be 4-Options in each question.
- Only one option is correct.
- There will be total number of Questions – 50 Questions out of 100 Marks.
- Duration of Exam – 90 minutes.
- Correct response will yield 2 (two) marks.
- Incorrect response will yield -1/2 (25% negative) marks.
- For any combination of response with more than one option, even if it contains the correct option, the answer will be treated as incorrect and will yield -1/2 (25% negative) marks.
- Zero mark will be awarded for not attempting any question.
