Villagers Fight Against School Teacher Transfer in Madhya Pradesh
The villagers in Madhya Pradesh went to court for their teacher. Bhur Singh Mujalda posted as a primary teacher in Rawati village for 23 years. It was a Rajpur-dominated village where only 23 children used to come to school. He started a door-to-door campaign and was able to increase the student strength to 47 in just two years.

Background of Bhur Singh Mujalda’s School Teacher Transfer
This situation began when a transfer order for Bhur Singh Mujalda and his wife, Jamuna Mujalda, was issued. They had been posted in Rawati village in Mandsaur, MP, for the last 23 years.
Villagers’ Response to the School Teacher Transfer Order
Upon learning about the transfer order, the villagers went to the District Education Officer and requested the cancellation of the transfer. However, they did not receive any response. Consequently, they decided to appeal to the Indore High Court to obtain a stay on the transfer order.
Legal Action and Community Efforts Against the Transfer
The villagers gathered and collected money to hire a lawyer, paying his fees to take legal action against the transfer. Bhur Singh is also happy with the villagers’ efforts.
Impact of Bhur Singh Mujalda’s Work in Rawati Village
When Bhur Singh arrived in the village 23 years ago, there were hardly any students in the class. Despite this, he motivated villagers to send their children to school, including girls who were engaged in household chores.
Support from Jamuna Mujalda and Acknowledgment from Local Authorities
His wife, Jamuna Mujalda, who was posted at the same school, supported his efforts. Bhagwan Singh, the Block Teacher Officer, acknowledges that Bhur Singh’s dedication led to the villagers’ actions. India needs teachers like him who prioritize their duties above all.
