UPSC Geo-Scientist Examination 2025 – The UPSC  has released a notification for UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist recruitment 2024 and Registration process has been started from September 04, 2024. Candidates can apply for this application till September 24, 2024 (18:00 pm). The UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist Examination 2025 is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for the recruitment of geologists, geophysicists, chemists, and scientists in various government organizations.

  • Master’s degree in Science stream (Relevant Course)

UPSC GEO-SCIENTIST Examination 2025: Age Limit

  • Minimum: 21 years
  • Maximum: 32 years (Relaxation for reserved categories as per government norms).

Nationality:

  • a Citizen of India, or 
  • a subject of Nepal, or
  • a subject of Bhutan, or

The Union Public Service Commission will hold a Screening Test for selection to Combined Geo-Scientist (Main) Examination, 2025 through Combined Geo-Scientist (Preliminary) Examination, 2025 which will be held on 9th February, 2025

The Preliminary Examination will be held at the following Centers:

UPSC GEO-SCIENTIST Examination 2025: Selection Process

  • Preliminary Exam:  Combined Geo-Scientist (Preliminary) Examination (Objective type) having two papers for selection of the candidates for the Combined Geo-Scientist (Main) Examination. Marks secured in the Preliminary Examination will be counted for deciding the final merit; 
  • Mains Exam:  Combined Geo-Scientist (Main) Examination (Descriptive Type) having three papers for selection of candidates for the Personality Test (Stage-III). Marks secured in the Main Examination will be counted for deciding the final merit.
