UPPSC PCS 2024 Prelims Admit Card Out – The UPPSC released the PCS exam admit Card on December 11, 2024. Candidates can download the admit card by filling in their enrollment number, date of birth, and Security pin. The Exam will be held on December 22, 2024.

Prelims Exam Date Postponed 2024 – The UPPSC PCS has postponed the exam date of UP PCS Exam. Previously, the exam was scheduled for October 27, 2024. New Exam will be conducted on December 22, 2024.

About UPPSC PCS Exam 2024
The UPPSC PCS Exam conducts the State PCS Exam for the recruitment of dynamic candidates through the combined state/ Upper Subordinate Service examination 2024. For this recruitment candidates are selected through 3 stages of exam, i.e. prelims, Maina and Interview.
Marking Scheme for UPPSC PCS Prelims Exam 2024
- There Shall be two papers conducting: Paper-I and Paper-II.
- All Questions are objective type. (both Exam)
- There shall be 150 questions in paper -I and 100 Question in Paper-II.
- Time Duration – 2 hours.
- There shall be total of 200 marks.
- Negative Marking 1/3rd marks deducted for every wrong answer.
- Mains Exam – 8 papers will be conducted for UPPSC PCS Mains Exam 2024.
Important Instructions related to UPPSC PCS exam 2024
- Both papers are Qualifying in nature.
- It is mandatory for the candidates to qualify both paper-1 and paper-2.
- Only candidates qualified in both papers will be considered eligible for UPPSC PCS Mains Exam
Minimum Qualifying Marks in Paper-2
- The minimum qualifying marks for Paper-2 is 33% Marks. Candidates need to secure 33% marks for passing the UPPSC PCS exam.
Paper-I Syllabus
General Studies–I
- Current events of national and international importance.
- History of India and Indian National Movement.
- India and World geography-Physical, Social, Economic geography of India and the World. Indian Polity and governance Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues etc.
- Economic and Social Development Sustainable Development, Poverty Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector Initiatives, etc.
- General Issues on Environmental ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change- that do not require subject specialization.
- General Science
- Current events of national and international Importance – On Current Events of National and International Importance, candidates will be expected to have knowledge about them.
- History of India & Indian National Movement-In History emphasis should be on broad understanding social, economic and political aspects of Indian History. In the Indian National Movement, the candidates are expected to have synoptic view of nature and character of the freedom movement, growth of nationalism and attainment of Independence.
- India and World Geography Physical, Social, Economic geography of India and the World – In World Geography only general understanding of the subject will be expected. Questions on the Geography of India will relate to Physical, Social & Economic Geography of India.
- Indian Polity and Governance – Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc.: In Indian Polity, Economic and Culture, questions will test knowledge of country’s political system including Panchayati Raj and Community Development, broad features of Economic policy in India and Indian Culture
- Economic and Social Development Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion. Demographics, Social Sector Initiatives, etc. – The candidates will be tested with respect to problems and relationship between Population, Environment and Urbanisation. General Issues on Environmental ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change that do not require subject specialization, General awareness of the subject is expected from candidates.
- General Science – Questions on General Science will cover general appreciation and understanding of Science including matters of every day observation and experience, as may be expected of a well educated person, who has not made a special study of any scientific discipline
Paper-II (General Studies – II)- Syllabus

- Interpersonal skills including communication skills.
- Logical reasoning and analytical ability.

- Elementary Mathematics upto Class X level-Arithmatic, Algebra, Geometry and

The Interview contain 100 marks. The Test will relate to the matter of general interest keeping the matter of academic interest in view and for general awareness, intelligence, Character, Expression power/ Personality and general suitability for the service.
