The UP Police Notification 2023 has set specific eligibility criteria for candidates seeking to apply for the position of police constables

Male candidates should be between the ages of 18 to 22 years, while female candidates should fall within the age range of 18 to 25 years.

Age relaxation of 5 years for Reserved candidates

 In terms of educational qualifications, applicants should hold a 12th pass or intermediate qualification to be eligible for UP Police Vacancy. Additionally, candidates should have passed the ‘O’ diploma or equivalent examination from a recognized board to be considered for the position.

Selection Process

The selection process for UP Police Recruitment consists of three stages: an Offline OMR Exam, and a Physical Standard Test (PST). Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be required to undergo these tests to determine their suitability for the position.

The Offline OMR Exam will test the candidate’s knowledge of General Hindi, General Knowledge, Numerical and Mental Ability, and Reasoning Ability. The PET will assess the candidate’s physical fitness, including running, long jump, and high jump. The PMT will measure the candidate’s physical attributes such as height, weight, and chest measurements.

Written Test will be an OMR answer which carries four answers. The candidate has to strike the right answer.

There will be three copies of the OMR sheet: one for the Agency outside, One for the board and one for the candidates. If the candidate takes the original copy outside the examination hall his candidature will be disqualified.

PST

The male candidate’s height should be 168 CM. For ST candidates it will be 160 CM.

Chest measurement would be 79 CM and with an extended chest should be 84 CM

Female candidates

Female candidate height should be 152 CM for ST Candidates it will be 147 CM

The weight of the Female candidate should be 40 KG

Physical Efficiency Test

It will be organized for the candidates who successfully clear the physical standard test
