What is UGC NET JRF?

UGC NET (National Eligibility Test), conducted by NTA, is a national-level exam to determine the eligibility for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian universities and colleges.
The exam has two papers – both are conducted on the same day and are compulsory.
Paper 1 Syllabus – General Paper on Teaching and Research Aptitude
- This paper is common for all subjects and tests your general teaching and research skills.

UGC NET June 2025 Subject-Wise Syllabus: Exam Pattern Overview
- There shall be 2 marks for each correct answer.
- No Negative Marking for Wrong Answer.
- No Any Marks for Unanswered / un-attempted/ marked for review.
- If the question is found to be incorrect and the Question is dropped, then two marks (+2) will be awarded to only those candidates who have attempted the question.
