UGC NET 2024-The National Testing Agency (NTA)

UGC NET 2024- The new exam dates have been announced by NTA, now the UGC will be conducted computer based. The exam will start from August 21 to September 4 2024. The exam was cancelled follwing the report of National cyber crime agency that integrity of the exam is compromised

The NTA faces another set back for its capability of conducting the fair exam.NEET UG exam controversy is not over yet and there are news coming that a boy confirmed that he had the NEET UG question paper with him before the exam starts.

What one expects from all this report that NTA that conducts various exam from JEE Main,NEET,UGC NET,CMAT,CUET both UG and PG. Can we expect the examination that we conducted in the past did not have any shortcoming.

NTA has conducted UGC NET 2024 June in single day and the exam was conducted in a single day that is pen and paper based for 83 subject.

Others exams that are in pipeline are CSIR UGC NET,AIEEA for agriculture,NCET and other exam what the NTA will do to protect the integrity of these exams.

The exam was conduct for ‘award of Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor’ and admission to Ph.D. The test was conducted  83 subjects in OMR (Pen and Paper), mode on 18th June 2024 in two (02) different shifts (09:30 AM to 12:30 Noon and 03:00 PM to 06:00 PM.

The UGC – NET June 2024 examination has been conducted successfully at 1205 Exam Centres in 317 cities across the country for 11,21,225 candidates.

The male female ratio was 6,35,587 Females, 4,85,579 Males and 59 Third Gender candidates.

In December 2023 exam total of 9,45,872 registered has registered

A total 9,08,580 candidates appeared in two shifts. The total appearance has been 81 percent in this exam while in December 2023 the appearance percentage was 73.6% percentage.

It is important to note that a candidates with years UG degree was given opportunity to appear for  ‘award of Junior Research Fellowship and ‘admission to Ph.D. only
