A B.Tech graduate has various career options and jobs to choose from. For an engineering undergraduate course, students need to pass their 10+2 examination with 75% with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognized university. But for courses like Biotech Engineering, Agriculture engineering, Biology should be included along with PCM. B.E./B.Tech graduates may pursue M.Tech. 

Course Duration:

The minimum duration to finish the course is 4 years and the maximum is 6-8 years. These days, Computer Science is available in distance learning mode and duration to complete the course is 4 years minimum to 8 years maximum. The examination type is semester system and it includes industrial training.

Getting admission to B.Tech is generally done through an entrance exam that is conducted either by a recognized board like CBSE or State level exam that is conducted by State-sponsored universities. Some of the entrance tests held at the National level include exams like JEE Main and JEE Advanced for IITs and NITs. 

Online Registration:

For January attempt of JEE Mains, forms have already been filled. However, for JEE Mains in April, online registration will open from February 7 to March 7 2020. JEE Main 2020 for April session will be conducted from April 3 to 9 for Paper 1 and 2 in an online mode. 

Fee for JEE exam:

The fee for JEE Main is Rs. 650 and half of it for Girls and SC/ST/OBC.
