What is TANCET Exam Conducted ?
The Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) is a state-level entrance exam organized annually by Anna University, Chennai, on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Government. TANCET is a gateway for students seeking admission into postgraduate programs like Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Computer Applications (MCA), Master of Engineering (ME), Master of Technology (MTech), Master of Architecture (M. Arch.) and Master of Planning (M. Plan) across numerous colleges in Tamil Nadu.
TANCET & CEETA PG Exam 2025
- TANCET
- There are Multiple choice type questions.
- There shall be total 100 questions.
- Subjects – Engineering, Basic Sciences, Humanities, Data Interpretation and Reasoning, General Awareness (20 Questions each subject).
- Exam Duration – 2 hours.
CEETA PG
- There shall be total of 100 MCQ type Questions.
- Subjects – Subject-Specific Questions (13 topics): 60 Questions, Data Interpretation and Reasoning:20 Questions, General Awareness: 20 Questions.
- Exam Duration is 2 hours

TANCET & CEETA PG 2025: Exam Dates
- Exam Date – TANCET 2025 and CEETA-PG are tentatively scheduled for mid-March 2025, typically held on consecutive days or weekends for different programs.
- Results -The results for both exams are expected by early April, followed by a counseling process from April to May 2025
TANCET & CEETA PG 2025: Negative Marking
- There shall be 1 mark for each correct answer.
- There shall be ¼ marks deducted for each wrong answer.
- Multiple shading will be considered as wrong answer and 1/4 mark will be reduced.
TANCET CEETA PG 2025: Admit Card
The Registration Number assigned in the Hall Ticket should be entered at the appropriate place in the admission application form to be filed with the respective admitting authority later. Admit Card / Hall ticket should be product at the time of entrance test and also at the time of counselling and admission. The TANCET 2025 admit card will include important information like the candidate’s name, roll number, exam center details, and instructions for the exam day. Candidates are required to download and print their admit cards, as no hard copy will be sent by post.
