TANCET & CEETA PG 2025: Application submission last date extended

TANCET & CEETA PG 2025-Application form has been extended till February 26, February 28, 2025. the application form opened on 24 January 2025, the Exam Dates has Announced on its Official website and TANCET Registration dates will be announced on January 19, 2025. In this year, the TANCET & CEETA PG Exam will be conducted from March 22 to 23, 2025.

Exam Overview of TANCET & CEETA PG 2025

The Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) is a state-level entrance exam organized annually by Anna University, Chennai, on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Government. TANCET is a gateway for students seeking admission into postgraduate programs like Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Computer Applications (MCA), Master of Engineering (ME), Master of Technology (MTech), Master of Architecture (M. Arch.) and Master of Planning (M. Plan) across numerous colleges in Tamil Nadu.

TANCET & CEETA PG 2025: Important Dates

Eligibility Criteria for TANCET & CEETA PG 2025

 To be eligible for TANCET 2025, candidates must meet specific educational qualifications, which vary depending on the program they are applying for. Below are the general eligibility guidelines:

• MBA Program– Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 50% marks for the general category and 45% marks for reserved categories.
• MCA Program– Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or computer applications. Mathematics is a compulsory subject at both the high school and undergraduate levels. Minimum marks aggregate 50% marks for the general category and 45% marks for reserved categories.
• ME/MTech/M. Arch/M .Plan Programs-Candidates need to have a relevant undergraduate degree, such as B.E., B.Tech., or B.Arch., from a recognized institution with the required percentage of marks.

Note  – Additionally, students who have qualified for national-level entrance exams like GATE can also apply for M.E./M.Tech courses. However, some universities might conduct TANCET to allocate seats to state-level students.

• Self-financing Colleges (Engineering, Arts & Science Colleges including stand-alone Institutions) under Government Quota and seats voluntarily surrendered by the Self- financing Colleges in Tamil Nadu for admission through centralized Single-window online counseling.
• Other University functioning under the state Act in Tamil Nadu and Self-Financing colleges may also opt to admit the candidates on the basis of the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test 2025..

CEETA PG 2025: ME/ M Tech/ M Arch / M Plan Offered At

• University Departments of Anna University, Chennai – 25, Anna University Regional Campuses and University Colleges of Engineering.
• Annamalai University and
• Government & Government Aided Engineering Colleges for admission through centralized Single-Window online counseling.
• Government Aided Engineering Colleges and Technical Institutions Funded by Central Government Affiliated to Anna University may also join in this admission process. Self-Financing Engineering colleges may also use CEETA-PG score for their admission process.

TANCET & CEETA PG 2025: Admit Card 

The Registration Number assigned in the Hall Ticket should be entered at the appropriate place in the admission application form to be filed with the respective admitting authority later. Admit Card / Hall ticket should be product at the time of entrance test and also at the time of counselling and admission. The TANCET 2025 admit card will include important information like the candidate’s name, roll number, exam center details, and instructions for the exam day. Candidates are required to download and print their admit cards, as no hard copy will be sent by post.

Marking Scheme for TANCET & CEETA PG 2025

• There shall be 1 mark for each correct answer.
• There shall be ¼ marks deducted for each wrong answer.
• Multiple shading will be considered as wrong answer and 1/4 mark will be reduced.

How to Apply for TANCET & CEETA PG 2025

TANCET 2025 Registration Process: The registration for TANCET 2025 will begin online through the official website of Anna University. Here are the steps that candidates need to follow:

Step-1:  Once the official notification is released, candidates should regularly visit the TANCET 2025 website i.e. https://tancet.annauniv.edu/ 

Step-2 : Applicants will first need to create a new user account by providing essential details such as name, email address, mobile number, and a password.

Step-3: Once registered, candidates can log in and complete the TANCET 2025 application form by providing personal, educational, and contact details.

Step-5: Candidates will be required to upload scanned copies of their passport-sized photograph, signature, and any other supporting documents.   

Step-6: The final step is the payment of the application fee. The fee can be paid online through debit/credit cards or internet banking. Fee concessions may be available for reserved category students.

Step-7: After successful payment, candidates must confirm their application submission and take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.

TANCET & CEETA PG 2025 Results and Counseling Process

After the exam, Anna University will release the TANCET 2025 results on its official website. Candidates can check their results by logging in with their registration details. The result will display the candidate’s score and rank.

Based on the performance in TANCET 2025, candidates will be shortlisted for the counseling process. The TANCET 2025 counseling will be conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Tamil Nadu. Candidates need to register separately for the counseling process and participate in the document verification process.

During counseling, students can choose their preferred courses and colleges based on their ranks and seat availability. The final admission will be granted once the document verification is completed, and the seat is allotted.
