Suit case inverter by IIT Patna. IIT P has achieved a remarkable achievement, it was awarded a patent for its indigenously developed lightweight, compact and easy-to-carry inverter from the Patent Office, Govt of India.

The IIT Patna dean AK Thakur informed about this and said this patented technique would go a long way and will make the country self-reliant in the field of portable power module (inverter/UPS).

This project was developed under the start up scheme of Portable Power Tachnology at IIT Patna incubation centre. The five young scientish namely Abhjit Kumar,Saurabh Rai,Abhishek Ranjan,Radheshyam Kumar and Rahmat Ali are behind this project. The was done under the guidance of IIT Patnas academic dean AK Thakur. This product is ready for use from next month.

Dean Thakur explained its characteristic this is all integrated in one box and there is no need to separate  battery and inverter. The weight of the inverter is 1/5 than normal inverter and battery.

It is hoped that it will be cheaper cost wise and will promote clean and green energy generation without any harmful emission causing health hazards. This machine hot got improved endurance of battery life and durability compared to its other commercial counterpart.
