It was published by the Commission on its website on 28.03.2024 intimating that the Commission would obtain Option-cum-Preference before the declaration of final result of aforesaid exam.

It is important to note that all candidates who have appeared in Paper-II, are advised to submit their Option cum-Preference for Post(s)/Organization(s) for Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Examination, 2024 through their respective

How to do this exercise?
Candidate must login on the webbsite https://ssc.gov.in candidate will be able to see Option-cum-Preference for Post(s)/Organization(s) It will be available under My Application Tab, which will remain active during the period from 09.12.2024 (05:00 PM) to 13.12.2024 (11:59 PM). Further, a confirmation email will also be sent to candidate’s registered email after completion of process of submission of Option-cum Preference.
Physical submission of this choice is not allowed. So candidate cannot walk in to the office of SSC regional or HO for this.
It is very necessary to exercise this option as after closing of this window no candidate will be allowed to do this exercise. So candidates who have appeared in Paper II are required to exercise their option cum preference mandatorily.
