Skill University in Telangana with industry tie up- The skill university will come up in Telangana with the name Young India Skill University. The courses will be offered in various fields Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari on Saturday disclosed The university will start functioning from Dasara onwards.
In the beginning about 20 courses have been identified which will be taught in the Skill University. Of these 20 courses, the university will start six from Dasara, the chief secretary said.
The chief Secretary further told about the possibility in these course around 140 companies have shown interest in partnering with Young India Skill University few of these companies are “SBI, NAC, Dr Reddy’s, TVAGA and Adani, Even CII has come forward. Primarily, the university will start diploma and certificate courses in e- commerce, logistics and retail sectors,” she said.

57 acres campus foundation was laid by CM Revanth Reddy for construction of this university; but for the time being the university will function from a temporary building until the construction work is completed. She said that the temporary campus will be set up in the Engineering Staff College of India or National Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management.
The efforts are going to take steps to finalise the logo and set up the website of the university. Those who have completed the course in this university will get priority in employment with attractive salaries, she said.
