ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA for Recruitment of Circle based officer in sbi
One of the primary academic prerequisites for this position includes the completion of a degree program in any discipline from an accredited institution or a comparable certification recognized as such by the Central Government, which may include Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) programs. Additionally, individuals with qualifications in fields such as Medicine, Engineering, Chartered Accountancy, or Cost Accountancy would qualify for this role as well.
The date of eligibility examination completion will be reflected on the mark sheet or provisional certificate originating from the University/Institute. If the outcome of an exam is published on the University/Institute’s website, the date on which the outcome was published on the website will be documented by the appropriate authority of the University/Institute as the date of completion.

The online test will comprise of two types of tests: Objective Tests, which are worth 120 marks, and a Descriptive Test, which is worth 50 marks. After completing the Objective Test, candidates will be required to take the Descriptive Test, which will be conducted immediately after. During the Descriptive Test, candidates must type their responses on the computer.

The objective test has a duration of two hours and is divided into four sections, consisting of a total of 120 marks. Each section will have a separate allotted time.
The Descriptive Test is scheduled to last for 30 minutes. This particular exam will focus on the English language, specifically Letter Writing and Essay composition. There will be two questions in total, with a combined total score of 50 marks.
The Bank has set no sectional qualifying marks for this examination. Instead, the minimum qualifying marks apply to the overall aggregate score and will be determined by the Bank.
In Objective Tests, there is no punishment for answering incorrectly.
Screening: Online application and documents of candidates, who qualified in online examination, will be placed before the Screening Committee.
A committee, appointed by the bank, is tasked with scrutinizing the applicants to ensure that they fulfil all the necessary requirements in terms of experience. The committee will compare the candidate’s job profile, authenticated by their current or former employer, with that of a Generalist Officer in Scale-I at the State Bank of India. If there is a significant inconsistency or difference between the two job descriptions, the candidate’s application will be summarily rejected. In case the bank deems it appropriate to align the candidate’s job description with that of a Generalist Officer in Scale-I, State Bank of India, the parameters to be applied will be determined accordingly. It is important to note that the Bank’s decision in this matter will be final and binding for all candidates.
The Bank will not entertain any form of representation or correspondence regarding this matter. A merit list will be made for each circle and category based on the total marks a candidate obtains in the Online Test by candidates who meet the experience criteria set by the Screening Committee.
The top candidates three times the available Circle-wise and Category-wise vacancies, will be invited for an interview. However, there should be availability of qualified candidates. It should be remembered to note that merely passing the online exam does not guarantee an interview invitation for the candidate. Interview:
The interview will consist of 50 marks. Candidates will have to score minimum qualifying marks in an interview to be considered for final selection. The minimum qualifying marks will be decided by the Bank.
To be considered for the position, candidates must pass both the Online Test and Interview separately. The scores earned in the Objective and Descriptive Tests from the Online Test will be combined with the scores from the Interview to create the final merit list
Merit list for Recruitment of Circle based officer in sbi
To determine the final merit list, the Online Test and Interview scores are taken into account with a 75:25 weightage respectively. The marks obtained by the candidates in the Online Test, out of 170, are normalized to a scale of 75, and the Interview scores, out of 50, will be converted to a scale of 25. The final merit list, categorized by Circle and Category, is compiled by summing up the converted marks (out of 100) from both the Online Test and Interview. The top-ranked candidates from the merit list based on Circle and Category are selected for the position.
