Pravriddhi by IISc Banglore- IISc launched Pravridhi a nationwide product accelator programme. This is launched by the Foundation for Science, Innovation, and Development (FSID), based at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). The main purpose of this initiative to bring together top Indian institutions, enterprises, and investors to collaborate on cutting-edge research and development (R&D), to make India self-reliant in manufacturing and globally competitive.

Pravariddhi is the platform where enterprise,academic institutions and research lab can work together to create innovative solutions. This focus of Pravriddhi focuses on developing market driven,design led manufacture that helps India innovate and compete on the world stage.
Govindan Rangarajan director of IISc said the this programme is introduced to achieve Viksit Bharat 2047 vision. The aim of the programme to grow the country GDP $30 trillion by 2047 with 25 percent of that growth coming from the manufacturing sector.

Pravriddhi aims to solve the problem faced “India’s manufacturing sector such as dependency on imported goods, intense global competition, and the need for a skilled workforce., advanced research and development, expertise, and a strong network of partners across India,” Professor Rangarajan said.
A hub of excellence will be established in different parts of the country is the key feature of Pravriddhi which will focus on supporting research and development, and collaboration in various technology domains. By leveraging expertise from across the country, these hubs will act as engines of innovation and progress.
