The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) offers various Post MBBS Diploma courses aimed at providing specialized training to medical graduates. Application has started from July 31, 2024 and candidates can apply till September 30, 2024.  Basically application are invited from hospital seeking affiliation with NBEMS for Post MBBS 2-years diploma courses in the above mentioned 09 comprehensive specialization programmes. NBEMS has started 2- year post MBBS Diploma Courses in the following broad specialities

  1. Diploma in Anesthesiology – DA (NBEMS)
  2. Diploma in Family medicine – D Fam. Med. (NBEMS)
  3. Diploma in Radio Diagnosis – DMRD (NBEMS)
  4. Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynecology – DGO (NBEMS)
  5. Diploma in Ophthalmology – DO (NBEMS)
  6. Diploma in Tuberculosis and chest diseases
  7. Diploma in Tuberculosis & Chest disease – DTCD (NBEMS)
  8. Diploma in Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) – DLO (NBEMS)
  9. Diploma in Emergency Medicine – DEM (NBEMS)

Post MBBS Diploma Courses Eligibility Criteria

  1. Educational Qualification: MBBS degree from a recognized medical institution.
  2. Registration: Valid registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or the respective State Medical Council.
  3. Internship: Completion of mandatory rotating internship on or before the specified date (as per the official notification).

Experience

  • Experience for Senior consultant – 5 years
  • Experience for Junior Consultant – 2 -Years

MINIMUM STIPEND:

APPLICATION FEE:

Applicant hospital/institute seeking fresh accreditation or renewal of accreditation in any specialty are required to pay an accreditation fee of Rs. 2,00,000/- Plus GST @18% for each specialty. The online application form fee for each specialty is Rs. 3,000/- Plus GST @5%.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:

  • MBBS degree certificate and mark sheets.
  • Internship completion certificate.
  • MCI or State Medical Council registration certificate.
  • Passport-sized photograph and signature.
  • Caste certificate (if applicable).
  • PWD certificate (if applicable).

How to Apply for Post MBBS Diploma Courses

Step-1: Visit the official NBEMS website. https://accr.natboard.edu.in/

Step-2: Register and fill out the application form with accurate details.

Step-3: Upload the required documents (see list below).

Step-4: Pay the application fee online.

COUNSELLING:

  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for the counselling process.
  • During counselling, candidates will be allotted seats in various diploma courses based on their preferences and ranks.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTION:

  • National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) accredits hospitals/institutions for running Post MBBS 02 years Diploma courses in nine Broad specialties
  • The hospitals/institutions willing to run any of these courses can apply for Accreditation with NBEMS.
  • The hospitals running three years DNB courses in any of the nine specialties can also apply for Diploma Courses with the same infrastructure. However, the faculty which has been considered for the DNB course will not be considered for the Diploma course i.e. the applicant hospital shall be required to have separate faculty for the Diploma courses.
  • MCI/NMC courses and NBEMS Diploma course cannot run concurrently in the same specialty in the same hospital as they share same beds, resources and faculty.
  • The grant of accreditation is solely at the discretion of NBEMS and subject to the fulfilment of the minimum Accreditation criteria prescribed by NBEMS.
  • Applicant hospital/institute shall have no rights or equity in their favour merely because they have submitted their application seeking accreditation with NBEMS.
