Odisha Deled Admission 2024 Admit Card -Directorate of Teacher Education & SCERT. The Notification was released by SCERT Odisha on 25 July, 2024 This entrance exam is conducted to offer the admission into Two Year Regular Diploma in D.El.Ed. Program for the academic session 2024-26 in 30 DIETs, 31 Government Elementary Teacher Education Institutions (ETEIs), 02 Government Elementary Teacher Education Institutions (SC & ST Development) and 01 Non-Government Aided Secondary Training School managed by Minority Community of the State. SCERT is a conducting body that focuses on educational research and training initiatives in the state. The Directorate of Teacher Education (DTE), which is a part of SCERT Odisha, holds the D.El.Ed entrance examination.
There are 6650 seats available in different institutions of the state. There are total 68 Institutes having 6550 seats for the admission into DE.El. Ed. Last year SCERT Odisha received total number of 69,314 Applications out of them total 6104 admissions took place where 3,963 were Girls candidates while boys were 2,141. This year application are invited for 6550 seats

D.El. Ed is a specialized program designed to prepare individuals for the role of primary school teachers. The objective of the program is to equip aspiring teachers with the knowledge, skills and pedagogical techniques required to teach at the elementary level. It covers various aspects of elementary education, including child development, teaching methods, curriculum planning and classroom management.

Odisha Deled 2024 Educational Qualification
- The candidates have successfully completed Class 12 or Higher Secondary, or an equivalent examination, from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks. A 5% relaxation is granted for candidates belonging to SC/ST/SEBC/PH categories.
Language Proficiency
- You must be proficient in Odia language and candidates must have passed Odia as a MIL (Modern Indian Language) up to the HSC level or any equivalent examination. Those seeking admission in D.El.Ed. (Urdu) or D.El.Ed. (Telugu) must have passed Urdu/Telugu as MIL up to HSC standard or its equivalent.
Age Limit
- Candidates applying for Odisha D.El.Ed. admission should be a minimum of 17 years of age

- Rs. 500 for General category and SEBC Candidates and Rs. 300 for SC/ST Candidates
Entrance:
There will be an online computer-based test for selection of candidates for the admission into D.El.Ed. programmes academic Session 2024-26. The entrance examination will contain two sections as follow
Section-1 carries 30 questions for 30 marks. Questions will be asked from Language (English), Education and General Awareness, Reasoning and Teaching Aptitude
Section-2 Carries 60 Questions for 60 Questions. Questions will be asked from Odia/Telugu/Urdu/Santhali, Mathematics, Social Science and Science.
Odisha Deled 2024 Syllabus
The test will be bi-lingual for all the subjects except the language subject. Each Question in the language section shall be available to candidates in Odia, Urdu, Telugu and Santali. The question paper will contain Multiple Choice Based Questions (MCQs)
Negative Marking: The performance of the candidates shall be evaluated both on the basis of correct and incorrect responses. For every incorrect response, 0.25 mark shall be deducted from the marks secured by the candidate for correct responses. More than one response to a question shall be considered incorrect and negative mark will be awarded.
Venue of the Test: The Online Computer Based Test shall be conducted in the Centres identified by the Examination conducting agency approved by Government.
Issue of Admit Card: Admit Cards shall be issued Online. The candidates are required to take print out of the same and produce at the Examination Centre. Candidates have to provide their identity proof at the time of Entrance Test.
Time and Date of Online Computer Based Test: Will be communicated to the applicants through SMS / Mail and will be published in the Website.
Odisha Deled 2024 Selection and Placement:
Publication of Final Result: The provisional scoring key shall be made available in the website for reference of the candidate. After 3 days of the completion of the entire Computer Based Test for all the courses. The online queries on the scoring key shall be invited for 3 days from the candidates.
On the basis of the queries received from the candidates the Expert panel will analyzed the complains and if found genuine the final scoring key shall be made available within 1 week. The decision of the Expert Committee in case of any discrepancy, in the question paper as well as the scoring key shall be treated as final.
Selection Authority: State Level Selection List of all categories of candidates is to be published by the computer firm on the basis of Online Computer Based Test marks and shall be approved by the Directorate of TE and SCERT before admission.
Selection and Placement: State Level Selection of all categories of candidates shall be made through Online Computer Based Test on the basis of their marks secured in Entrance Test. The result of the Entrance Test does not ensure the confirmation and guarantee of admitting the student to the Course as it is subject to verification of the authenticity and appropriateness of the documents. Selection and placement of candidate shall be made purely on the basis of marks secured by him / her in the Online Computer Based Entrance Test.
Merit list shall be published on the basis of the result of Entrance Test both category-wise and subject-wise. In case of tie, the higher percentage of marks at +2 levels shall be taken into consideration. If the +2 Mark becomes tie, in that case, the candidate who born earlier will come first in the Merit List.
Placement of candidates will be made centrally through online placement as per the choices given by the candidate. The original certificates and mark sheets of the selected candidates shall be verified at the institution 14 level, where the candidate will be placed for admission. If any discrepancies are observed, then the provisional selection of the candidate for admission will be cancelled.
