Master’s Degree Engineering/ Technology/ Equivalent. (with minimum CGPA of 6.5 out of 10 point grading system /65% of Marks). Bachelor degree in Engineering/ Technology / from a centrally funded Technical Institute with an Excellent academic record. ( with CGPA of at least 9.0 out of 10 point/ 90% of marks). Master’s Degree in relevant science discipline with a good academic record. (with minimum CGPA of 6.5 out of 10 point grading system/ 65% of marks).
GATE Qualified Candidates. Full-Time with Scholarship – GATE Score is Mandatory.Full-Time self-financed scholars- GATE Score is not Mandatory.
Ph. D Programme in Science Departments
Master’s degree in Science. (with minimum of 65% marks/ 6.5 CGPA out 10 Point Grading system). Or 60% of Marks with a GATE score/ UGC/CSIR/ -NET/ NBHM.Master’s degree in Engineering / Technology/ Equivalent. (with minimum qualifying marks CGPA of 6.5 out of 10 point) or 65% of Marks. B.Tech. / B.E. degree from a centrally funded technical institute in Indian. (with minimum CGPA of 9.0 out of 10 point/ 90% of marks).

Ph. D. Programme in Humanities & Social Sciences under the Department of Management, Humanities & Social Sciences.
Master’s degree in relevant discipline with a minimum of 65Yo marks or equivalent or 6.5 CGPA in a 10 point grading system + UGC/ CSIR-NET/ NBHM. Relevant discipline of research will includes – English, Economics, Commerce; Finance, Foreign Trade, Business Management, Geography, Rural Management & Development, Sociology and others as per requirement of the Department.
NET Qualified.
Ph.D. Programme in Management under department of Management, Humanities & Social Sciences.
Diploma in Management of 2-year duration. (with minimum 65% marks/ CGPA of 6.5 out of 10 points.)
GATE/ NET Qualified Candidates. Full-Time with Scholarship.
Admission to Ph. D. Programme for Foreign scholars:
Foreign Degree must meet Indian master’s degree above given.
GRE/ GMAT/ GATE/ JMET/ CAT/ XAT/ MAT/ ATMA/ UGC or CSIR/ NET and a core in TOIFL/ IELTS or Equivalent examination.
NIT Agartala Selection Process:
Candidates shortlisted by their academic criteria above given.
Shortlisted candidates required to appear for the written test (30 marks) to be conduct by the institute.
Written Test Includes- The written test will comprise of MCQ type questions, covering the UG level and PG level (specialization wise). The candidates qualifying the written test will be allowed to appear for interview.
