NIMCET 2025 Notification: The admission for the academic year 2025-26 in NITs has started now. The notification regarding this was started on April 17, 2025 and will continue till May 16 till (at 5:00 pm). The exam will be conducted in June 8 2025. There was speculation earlier that the application form will open in the month of March, especially March 6 as it happened in the year 2024. NIT Thirucharppalli is conducting this NIMCET 2025 as the official confirmation of these dates for application form opening and exam dates.
NIMCET 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Indian Nationals securing at least 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale in case of SC/ ST/PwD) in (i) Any UG program of minimum Three years with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects OR (ii) B.E./ B.Tech. from a recognized University/Institution are eligible to appear for NIMCET-2024. Conversion of scored marks from CGPA to percentage and vice-versa is not permitted.

NIMCET 2025 Notification: Open School Candidates’ Requirement
Students from open universities are also eligible to apply. Candidates who have completed a Bachelor’s Degree Program of a minimum of three years with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects from Open Universities are also eligible to apply. The program is approved by UGC/ AICTE and Distance Education Council (DEC) of Govt. of India.
The MCA program is offered by NITs at Agartala, Allahabad, Bhopal, Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Raipur, Surathkal, Tiruchirappalli, Patna and Waranga. And also from two IIITs, IIIT Bhopal and IIIT Vadodara. The admission into the MCA program in the above 10 NITs is based on the rank obtained in NIMCET 2025.
