NIMCET 2025 Exam Date and Eligibility Criteria: Registration and exam dates to be announced on 06 March, 2025 tentative:
NIMCET 2025 application notification is expected to be released on March 6 for admission to MCA courses in NITs of India
Exam is expected to be conducted in the last week of May 2025
Eligibility Criteria
Indian Nationals securing at least 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale in case of SC/ ST/PwD) in (i) Any UG program of minimum Three years with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects OR (ii) B.E./ B.Tech. from a recognized University/Institution are eligible to appear for NIMCET-2024. Conversion of scored marks from CGPA to percentage and vice-versa is not permitted.
Open School Candidates requirement
Students from open universities are also eligible to apply. The candidates who have completed/completing Bachelor Degree Program of minimum Three years with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects from Open Universities are also eligible to apply provided the program is approved by UGC/ AICTE and Distance Education Council (DEC) of Govt. of India.
The National Institute of Technology (NIT) is set to announce the registration dates for NIMCET 2025 on March 06, 2025, tentatively. NIMAT 2025 will be conducted in June and will be conducted online mode only.
The NIMCET (NIT MCA Common Entrance Test) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Institute of Technology (NITs) for admission to the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) program. The exam is held annually, with the latest edition being NIMCET 2025 The test is conducted online with 120 minutes duration of exam. The MCA programme is offered by NITs at Agartala, Allahabad, Bhopal, Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Raipur, Surathkal, Tiruchirappall, Patna and Warangal. The admission into the MCA programme for the year 2025-26 in the above 10 NITs is based on the Rank obtained in NIMCET-2025 only.
