The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) announced the Admit Card of NEST on June 20, 2024 and NEST Entrance exam will be held on June 30, 2024. Candidates who had done their application form successfully they can download their Admit Card from the official website i.e. https://nestexam.in and www.myeducationwire.com.
The National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) is an annual entrance exam conducted for admission to the integrated MSc program in basic sciences offered by the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) Bhubaneswar and the University of Mumbai – Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CBS).

- Types of Questions: MCQ
- Total Sections – 4
- Section Name and Number of Questions – Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and Biology, with 20 questions in each section.
- NEST Exam total Marks – 240
- NEST Exam Duration – 3 hours 30 minutes
- Marks for each section – 60 marks
- As merit list calculation will be performed on marks obtained in the best three sections, the ‘total’ marks for NEST 2024 become 180.

MARKING SCHEME:
- There will be 3-marks for every correct answer.
- There will be 1-marks for every incorrect answer.
- No Marks for Unattempting Question.
MINIMUM ADMISSION SCORE:
- For each section, “20% of the average of the best 100 scores in that section” will be considered as Section–wise Minimum Admissible Score (SMAS).
