NEET UG Paper Leak, No such incident claimed by NTA

Amid the rumor of NEET UG paper leak matter NTA conducted the exam peacefully except one in incident in Sawai Madhopur Mandir Mantown Girl Higher Secondary Model School.

There was an incorrect distribution of question papers by the Center Superintendent. Despite efforts by invigilators, some candidates left with question papers.

The paper to be distributed should have been hindi and English medium paper was distributed to the students

However, the NTA has assured the public that aside from this single incident, the NEET (UG) 2024 examination proceeded smoothly at all other centers across the country. The integrity of the examination process remains intact at other centers

Approximately 120 affected candidates from Girls Higher Secondary Model School will sit for their examination today, May 5, 2024. This action aims to ensure that the academic aspirations of these candidates are not compromised due to the incident.

The NTA remains committed to upholding the integrity and fairness of the NEET (UG) examination, which is crucial for medical aspirants nationwide.

This year, a record 23 Lakh candidates registered for NEET UG exam. The male female ration has been a 10 lakh male students attempted  while over 13 lakh were girls and 24 students registered under the ‘third gender’ category.

UP had most representation with highest number of candidates with 3,39,125 registrations, followed by Maharashtra with 279904. Rajasthan at 1,96,139. Southern states Tamil Nadu registered 155216 applicants while Karnataka registered 154210.

In 2023, a total of 20,87,449 candidates registered for NEET UG 2023 and the exam was held on May 7, out of which NTA recorded 97.7 per cent attendance and the re-exam was conducted for nearly 8,700 candidates.
