NEET PG 2024 Result was declared on August 23. It looked that it has been completed smoothly but candidates who appeared in the exam are not happy and they alleged discrepancies in their result. The said that it is because of normalization of scores so their ranks went down significantly.

Candidates Demand Release of Raw and Normalized Marks

These students are dissatisfied with their marks and are demanding that the NBE release the raw and normalised marks, as well as the official answer key

One of the aspirant mentioned that I was expecting 480-490 score based on my calculation form various sources 

Dr. Ayush one of the aspirant said “I was expecting a score around 480-490, the rank I got is 37,000.  When last year in the same marks, my rank was 18,000-19,000. 

We believe that this year’s paper was little difficult, so I anticipated a rank of around 15,000. This feels like a big scam.”

Aspirants Share Their Discontent and Concerns Over NEET PG 2024 Results

Another aspirant Niteesh amazed by the rank inflation compared to last year trends, my answer when I calculated from all my source I had 115-120 correct answer out of 170. But rank is 1.45 lakh, Even with increased competition, my rank should have been less than 75,000, but it has doubled. He said he will retake the exam anyway

Charisma another aspirant is not happy with her ranks she said she was expecting a rank below 35,000 but she got a rank three times higher than what she expected. She does not stop here and said there are many candidates from the second shift who scored better ranks with lower scores. I don’t believe the normalisation process was fair. We have invested more than a year into NEET PG, dealing with preponements and pattern changes, and now the results are messed up as well. We’re all stuck, and we need a fair exam

It is worth noting that before commencement of the exam, students were demanding that it must be conducted in a single shift, fearing improper normalization. Now that the results have been declared, students have raised concerns about the normalization process.

As is known NEET PG 2024 exam was conducted across 416 centers in 170 cities. Through this exam candidates have the opportunity to secure admission to 26,168 Doctor of Medicine (MD), 13,649 Master of Surgery (MS), 922 PG Diploma, and 1,338 DNB CET seats.

NEET PG is computer based entrance exam which is conducted conducted every year for admission to various MD (Doctor of Medicine), MS (Master of Surgery), and PG Diploma courses across India.
