The NEET MDS 2024 exam revised date- it shall now be conducted on 18th March 2024. The cut-off date for eligibility to appear in the NEET-MDS 2024 shall be 31st March 2024.
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) is a highly competitive exam that grants admission to postgraduate dental courses across India. It is conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) and is held annually in a computer-based format. The NEET MDS exam is designed to assess the eligibility of candidates for admission to various MDS programs in India.
To be eligible for the NEET MDS exam, candidates must fulfil certain criteria. They must have a BDS degree awarded by a university or institute in India under MDS course regulations, with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Additionally, candidates must have a compulsory training certificate of 12 months in rotation or practical training on or before March 31, 2024. They must also possess a provisional or permanent registration certificate issued by DCI or State Dental Council (SDC). The minimum age for candidates is twenty years old. NEET MDS 2024 Exam Revised Date
The NEET MDS exam comprises two parts, Part A and Part B. Part A includes 100 multiple-choice questions from 17 topics taught in the BDS curriculum. Part B includes 40 multiple-choice questions on the subject of Public Health Dentistry. Each correct answer in the exam carries four marks, and one mark will be deducted as a penalty for every incorrect answer. The exam syllabus covers General Anatomy Including Histology and Embryology, General and Dental Pharmacology and Therapeutics, and General Medicine. The exam pattern and syllabus of NEET MDS are designed to test the comprehensive knowledge of candidates in the field of dentistry, and aspirants need to prepare thoroughly for the exam.

Appearing Candidates-
Any candidate who after passing the final qualifying exam(BDS or Foreign Dental Degree recognized by GOI/DCI) is undergoing 12 12-month compulsory rotatory internship/practical training and is likely to complete the same by the prescribed cut-off date for internship completion for a particular admission session, is eligible to take up NEET MDS exam and it is subject to fulfilment of eligibility criteria.
