NDA NA I 2025 Eligibility Criteria

1. Nationality:
2. A candidate must be a citizen of India, or
3. A subject of Bhutan, or
4. A subject of Nepal, or
5. A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India.
6. Educational Qualifications:
7. For Army Wing of NDA – 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
8. For Air Force and Naval Wings of NDA and the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy: 12th Class pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
9. Physical Standards – Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to the NDA and Naval Academy Examination.

Things to keep in mind before going for the NDA NA 1 exam 2025

1. The candidate is required to clearly indicate in the online application form the services for which he wishes to be considered in the order of his preference.
2. He is also advised to indicate as many preferences as he wishes so that his preferences may be given due consideration while making appointment keeping in view his rank in the order of merit.
3.  Candidates should note that they will be considered for appointment only in those services for which they express their preferences and not for any other service.
4.  No request for addition/alteration in the preferences already indicated by the candidate in his application will be entertained by the Commission.
5. The Commission has also decided to extend the facility of making corrections in any field of the application form for this examination.
6. Candidates should note that only the date of birth as recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary School Examination Certificate or equivalent certificate available on the date of submission of application will be accepted by the Commission and no subsequent request for its change will be considered or entertained.

• For NDA I: Candidates must be born between July 2, 2006, and July 1, 2009.
• For NDA II: Candidates must be born between January 2, 2007, and January 1, 2010.

• SSB Interview:
• The candidates who qualify in the written examination are called for the SSB Interview.
• The SSB Interview includes two stages: Psychological Aptitude Test and Intelligence Test.
• The SSB Interview is conducted for 900 marks.

Ans-1. UPSC prescribes the UPSC NDA eligibility criteria 2025 based on factors such as the Candidate’s age, measurements and educational background. Initially, only male candidates were eligible to attempt the NDA exam, but after a Supreme court ruling in 2021, Female candidates are also eligible to attempt the exam.

Ques-2. What are the cut-off marks for NDA Exam?

Ans-2. The cut-off for the written test will be 342 and the final cut-off will be 708. The candidates who will qualify for the NDA exam by obtaining the cut-off marks will be eligible for an interview.
