National Scholarship portal avail the scheme

National Scholarship Portal avail the scheme- is a platform that showcases the scholarship applications, processing, and disbursement for students. It is managed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and works in coordination with various Indian government ministries and departments to ensure financial support reaches eligible students from different educational levels and socio-economic backgrounds.

The first step in availing the Scholarship Scheme is to fill the OTR form by the candidates.

OTR Form for National Scholarship

One Time Registration (OTR) is a unique 14-digit number issued based on the Aadhaar/Aadhaar Enrolment ID (EID) and is applicable for the entire academic career of the student.

OTR simplifies the scholarship application process, thereby eliminating the need of registration in each academic year.

OTR is required to apply for scholarship on National Scholarship Portal.

Commonly Available Scholarships on NSP:

  • Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Scholarships for SC/ST/OBC and Minority communities
  • Merit-based scholarships such as the Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme for Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs)
  • Top Class Education Scholarship for Students with Disabilities
  • National Means Cum Merit Scholarship (NMMS) for students from economically weaker sections
  • Various state-specific scholarships for students residing in different Indian states

How to Apply:

  1. Register: Visit the NSP website and create an account.
  2. Login: You can login with the credential created by you.
  3. Application Form: Then fill out the scholarship application form by providing required details like educational background, bank account info, and personal data.
  4. Document Upload: You have to upload necessary documents, such as educational certificates, identity proof, and income certificates.
  5. Submit and Track: Submit the application, then monitor its progress on the portal.
