MBA Healthcare Management course is a two-year post-graduation management degree programme that trains students to manage several works in hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, and other healthcare systems.
The opportunities in the healthcare system are good. As one can see this number states that 75% of the healthcare infrastructure is concentrated in metro cities, where only 27% of the total population resides—the rest 73% of the Indian population lack even basic medical facilities.
In a report titled ‘Reimagining Healthcare in India through Blended Finance’, Niti Aayog further said India’s healthcare spending is the least among BRICS countries.
The scenario at present is this that 65 per cent of hospital beds in India cater to almost 50 per cent of the population concentrated in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, West Bengal and Kerala,” the report said.
The report added that the other 50 per cent of the country’s population living in the remaining 21 states and 8 Union Territories (UTs) has access to only 35 per cent of hospital beds.
This indicates a need to grow hospital beds by at least 30 per cent to ensure equitable access to healthcare for citizens in all parts of the country,” the report said
The hospital sector was valued at USD 61.79 billion in FY17 and is expected to reach USD 132 billion by 2023, growing at a CAGR of 16-17 per cent” the report said.
A good number of private hospitals are coming up which is a good sign for the country, so they need qualified staff. These days hospitals do not work in the conventional hospital manner they are adding new features. So they need such people who can take this forward.
MBA healthcare management is such a course where students can fulfil the need of this hospital.
