The second stage (CBT 2) exams are tentatively scheduled to take place in September 2024.
Aptitude Test (CBAT) is scheduled for November 2024.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Matriculation /SSLC + ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT/SCVT
In Trade: Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Millwright/Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic (Radio & TV), Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic(Moter Vehicle), Wireman, Tractor Mechanic, Armature & Coil Winder, Mechanic (Diesel), Heat Engine, Turner, Machinist, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Mechanic.
OR
Matriculation/SSLC + Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the trades mentioned above.
OR
Matriculation /SSLC + Three Years Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile Engineering.
OR
Combination of Various Streams of these Engineering discipline from a recognized Institution in lieu of ITI.

- The 2 – Stage CBT will consist of two sections: Part A and Part B
- Part B will be of qualifying nature only whereas the marks of Part A will decide the progress of the candidates to the next stages of the selection process.
- The minimum qualifying marks for part B are 35% for all candidates irrespective of the category.
- 1/3rd of the marks allotted for each question shall be deducted for each wrong answer.
- There will be sectional timing in the RRB ALP CBT – II examination.
