KTU 237 women tech graduates placed in Infosys
Yes this has happened in Kerala where a total of 237 women tech engineering graduates were placed in the IT Major Infosys. It was the first major state level placement initiative of APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (APJAKTU), the drive exclusively meant for women candidates
This is was the first such placement drive for women candidates in kerala which was organized by University Industry Attachment and Placement Cell with Infosys from February 17 to 19 in Ernakulam. The response was overwhelming and more than 4,500 students from various affiliated colleges across the state had registered for the recruitment process

The initiative, titled ‘e-Infosys Diversity Drive’, was aimed to foster gender diversity in the tech industry. After initial scrutiny over 3,000 candidates appeared for this online aptitude test conducted by Infosys. The rigorous selection process included technical rounds and HR interviews, ensuring that top talent is taken.

According to K Biju, coordinator of the Industry Attachment and Placement Cell said that the drive was meant for BE/Btech students who meets the eligibility criteria of minimum 60 percent aggregate marks through their academic career. Around 500 female engineering students advanced to the interview rounds.
Looking at the response from the industry and placing of its student The Industry Attachment Cell and Placement Cell of the varsity is now actively engaging with leading companies to expand placement opportunities.
The target of 90 percent placement was kept by the university for 2024-25 batch.
There is no hesitation in saying that this a major milestone for the University that it conducted the placement drive with IT Major Infosys.
