Kerala Private University: Kerala state for the first time is opening the door for private universities to operate in the state. Till now only the government institution exists in the state. Recently the Kerala Legislative Assembly passed the Kerala State Private Universities (Establishment and Regulation) Bill, 2025, marking a significant policy shift by allowing the establishment of private universities in the state. ​
