This pioneering device, which promises to be a game-changer in the healthcare sector, is designed to efficiently check the purity of materials in solid, fluid, and powder forms.

This patent is his sixth and a significant achievement in healthcare for Professor Khan. His genuine innovative effort is yielding the result and making the strides in the Industry. The image of Professor Khan is getting of a leading Innovator.

The traditional methods for analytical characterization and identification of materials involve techniques like chromatography, NIR, laser emission, and others have several drawbacks and limitations like large investment cost, complex instrumentation, exposure to harmful radiation, and also require material sample preparation. Embodiment of the present invention overcomes the disadvantage and limitations of the prior art by providing a method and apparatus based on a machine learning model for analytical characterization and identification of materials. It is simple, cost effective, free from harmful radiation, easy to handle, and no material sample preparation is needed.

How the device work?

The newly patented device utilises advanced acoustic resonance technology to characterise and identify materials accurately. This method involves generating forced vibrations into the material using a V-shaped solid quartz strip with piezoelectric transducers, capturing the resulting acoustic signals, and analysing them through a machine-learning model. The device offers a simpler, more cost-effective, and safer alternative to traditional methods such as chromatography and laser emission, which often require complex instrumentation and pose risks due to harmful radiation.

The officiating VC Professor Mohammad Shakeel congratulated Professor Khan and his team and said that the team effort made the JMI proudthe Officiating Vice Chancellor of JMI, congratulated Professor Khan and his team, expressing his pride in their achievement and wishing them continued success in their future endeavours. The team member include in this  breakthrough are Dr Kashif I K Sherwani, Dr Md Qaiser Reza, Dr Shaila P S M A Sirdeshmukh, and Dr Ashok Kumar Salhan from the Department of Electrical Engineering, JMI, along with Dr Salhan, who has also served as Scientist G at the Defence Institute of Physiology and Sciences (DIPAS), DRDO.
