JEE Main Session 2 2024 Paper Analysis JEE Main Session 2 exam started yesterday in two shifts. First shift started at 9 AM to 12 PM and second shift timing was 3 PM to 6 PM.

How was the question papers, the students who attempted this have expressed their view on this.

The difficulty level in both the shift was same. In shift 2 paper physics was easy to moderate while students found chemistry easier than other paper.

For maths paper was not that difficultybut was a bit lengthy. A detailed subject wise analysis is given below.

JEE Main Session 2 2024 Paper Analysis Chemistry

Chemistry paper was based on NCERT books. There was almost equal distribution of the all the three parts of chemistry i.e. Physical, Organic and Inorganic. Questions asked were straightforward. Questions from prominent chapters like Equilibrium, Bonding, Alcohol, Phenol and Ethers, Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics and Alkyl and Aryl halides came. Overall coverage of the chapters was uniform. 

Physics

Physics paper the students said was easy to moderate level and here the  questions were mostly straightforward. Questions from Modern Physics, Work Power and Energy, Thermodynamics, Current Electricity, Modern Physics and Electrostatics were there in the paper. Most of the questions were asked from the 12th class syllabus in. They further added that If somebody has gone through the previous year questions, he/she will definitely have an upper hand in the paper.

Mathematics

The mathematics paper which the students find little difficult but paper was moderate to difficult just like the Shift-1 paper. Questions from Algebra and Calculus dominated the paper. The major questions asked from Vectors and 3D. Questions from Binomial Theorem, Sequence and Series, Statistics were there in the paper. Almost all the topics were covered. 

One can conclude that yesterday paper that was held on 4 April was balanced paper which can be attempted in the given time. Most of the students found Mathematics a bit lengthy. The difficulty level wise order according to a large section of students is Mathematics > Physics > Chemistry.

We can say that the difficult level in this order Mathematics tougher than other two papers (physics+Chemistry) ,physics was tougher than chemistry.
