The JEE Main Session 2 exam is take place from April 4 to April 15, 2024. And Admit card will be released three days before the exam.
Looking at the number of registrations in the JEE Main Second Session, there is a stark increase in the number of candidates—at least three out of four—who have opted to take both sessions of the exam. This indicates a growing trend towards maximising opportunities for scoring and improving ranks.
JEE Main Session 2 Overview
The registration of candidates for JEE Main Session 2 shows that 48.3% of candidates have chosen to sit for both sessions, with an additional 27.9% opting to register again for the second session.
In the January Session, a record-breaking 12.2 lakh candidates had registered, and out of this 33.3% of them were female
In Second Session of the April season has also witnessed a significant surge in registrations, with 11.9 lakh aspirants signing up for the exam.
The decision of 3.4 lakh candidates to opt the April session underscores the desire among students to seize the opportunity to enhance their scores and rankings.
Though the final merit list will be announced by the NTA based on best of two scores for those candidates who are going to appear for both sessions.
JEE-Main is the third-largest entrance test in India. The top 2.6 lakh candidates from JEE-Main will qualify for the JEE (Advanced) test, the gateway to admission into the prestigious IITs.
