APPAR id is not mandatory as clarified by NTA. In its earlier notice reads that for registration APAAR ID is must. But clarification has been given by NTA students will be able to register directly for NEET UG 2025 registration. Students were encouraged to create this APAAR ID for digital store of student’s score.
Now students who applies for NEET UG 2025 exam must have the APAAR IF which is automated Permanent Academic Account Registry. This is one nation one student campaign. This id will be valid for student’s entire academic journey.

Integration of APAAR ID with the examination process this instruction issued by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education for NEET UG upcoming exam 2025. As the ministry says that the purpose of this initiative is to ensure a seamless experience for candidates by encouraging the use of both APAAR ID and Aadhaar-based authentication throughout the application and examination stages.
