Indian Army (TES-51) Entry 2023: JEE Main qualifier can apply

The Indian Army has started the online application process for candidates looking to secure a Permanent Commission in the Army through the 51st (10+2) Technical Entry Scheme (TES-51). This is a permanent commission
Vacancy-90
Type of Commission. On completing 4 years of the course, cadets will be granted Permanent Commission in the Army in the rank of Lieutenant.
Salary packages-56,100 to 1,77,500
Training. Total training will be of 5 years.
Details are given below-:
(a) Basic Military Training. 1 year (Officer Training Academy, Gaya) or any other Training Institute decided by the Indian Army.
b) Technical Training.
(i) Phase-I (Pre Commission Training): 3 Years (CME Pune or MCTE Mhow or MCEME Secunderabad),
(ii) Phase-II (Post Commission Training): 1 year at CME Pune or MCTE Mhow or MCEME Secunderabad.
(c) Award of Degree. The candidates will be awarded an Engineering degree after successful completion of the final examination. No ante-date seniority will be admissible to candidates on account of this Engineering degree. During the last two semesters, the officers will be permitted only one relegation on academic grounds. This relegation will be within the maximum two relegations permitted on academic grounds in the entire Engineering degree (8 semesters) in accordance with the JNU Ordinance. Any further relegation of the officer on academic grounds will lead to the termination of his commission.

This scheme is being conducted for candidates who have completed their class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) and have appeared for the JEE (Mains) 2023 exam.
Applicants who have appeared for JEE Main 2023 are eligible to apply for this recruitment process and are not required to pass the UPSC examination

Eligibility Criteria for TES 51 Recruitment 2023
Nationality
Candidates are unmarried male and who is either:
(i) A citizen of India, (ii) A subject of Bhutan, (iii) A subject of Nepal, (iv) A Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or (v) A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Age Limit
A candidate must not be below 16½ years and above 19½ years on the first day of the month in which the course is due to commence i.e. the candidate should not be born before 02 Jan 2005 and not after 01 Jan 2008.
Educational Qualification
- Candidate must have obtained 60 per cent in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in their 10+2 examination from recognized education boards.
- It is important for the candidates who apply they have appeared for the JEE (Mains) 2023 exam.
How to Apply for Indian Army TES – 51 Recruitment
1. First go to the official website, joinindianarmy.nic.in.
2. Navigate to the “Notifications” section under the “Officer Selection” tab.
3. Then click on “Apply Online” and provide the necessary basic information for registration.
4. Proceed to Part 2, where you can upload the required documents and complete your submission.
5. After submitting the form, make sure to print a copy for your records.
The following document is to be uploaded
Class 10th certificate and mark sheet in original showing DOB.
(ii) Class 12th certificate and mark sheet in original.
(iii) ID proof in original.
(iv) Copy of result of JEE (Mains) 2022.
Other Copy
The second copy of the printout of the online application is to be retained by the candidate for his reference. There is no need to send any hard copy of the application printout to the Directorate General of Recruiting. (d) Two self-attested photocopies of the certificates mentioned in ser (c) above will be submitted at the time of the SSB interview and originals will be returned after verification at the SSB itself. (e) 20 copies of self-attested PP-size photographs will also be carried alongwith the Application Form. (f) Candidates must submit only one application. Receipt of multiple applications from the same candidate will result in cancellation of candidature
Selection Process
After the shortlisting of candidates, the Centre allotment will be intimated to the candidates via their email. After the allotment of the Selection Centre, firm SSB dates will be allotted to the candidates.
The candidates who are selected depending on the cut will undergo SSB at one of the Selection Centres i.e, Allahabad (UP), Bhopal (MP), Bengaluru (Karnataka) or Kapurthala (Punjab) by Psychologist, Group Testing Officer and Interviewing Officer. Call-up letters for SSB interviews will be issued by respective Selection Centres on the candidate’s registered e-mail ID and SMS only. Allotment of the Selection Centre is at the discretion of the Directorate General of Recruiting, Integrated Headquarters of MoD (Army) and NO request for changes are entertained in this regard.
It is to be noted that mere appearance and qualifying at the SSB interview does not guarantee final selection. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained at the SSB Interview, Qualification level (Educational), Previous performances and NCC background.
