QS ranking which is ranking institutions for the education industry has put India on second position in Digital Skill. PM Modi has expressed pride in Quacquarelli Symonds world future skill index ranking. India has been ranked ahead of country like Canada and Germany.

The index assesses nation on their ability to prepare students and professional with future ready skill thus India’strong focus on digital education,innovation and enterprise.
But on the other hand in economic transformation, India has been ranked 40th, and in terms of the workforce having the desired skills for future jobs, 37th, in the index.
In overall ranking India is at 25t position across all indicators, which also includes the alignment between skills and employer needs, academic readiness, and economic transformation.
In this ranking countries in the top 10, including the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, and Canada, have been categorised as “future skills pioneers”.

The survey evaluated four broad indicators identified by QS:
SKILLS FIT: This measures how well countries are equipping graduates with the skills that employers desire.
FUTURE OF WORK: This evaluates a country’s readiness to recruit for the skills needed in the jobs of tomorrow
