IIT JAM 2021 Admit card from 11 January

IIT JAM 2021 dates have been announced. It will be conducted by one of the IITs on a rotation basis.

IIT JAM is one of the national-level examinations organized to offer admission into M.Sc., M.Sc. PhD, and M.Sc. PhD dual degree etc. programmes. For the year 2021, IIT JAM will be conducted by IISc, Bangalore. Candidates can get admission in various universities through an entrance exam.

IIT Jam 2021 Dates-:

Online Application starts —— 10 September 2020
Closing of Application form ——  15 October 2020
Exam Date  —— 14 February 2021
Announcement of Result —— 2021 20 March 2021

Application Fee

Female(All Categories)/SC/ST/PWD —— Rs.750 one Test paper/ Rs.1050  2 Test papers
All Others  —— Rs.1500 One Test Paper Rs.2100   2  Test papers

IIT JAM 2021 Eligibility Minimum Education Qualification(MEQ)

Note-: A qualifying Degree, the aggregate marks for CGPA/CPI without rounding off (taking into account all subjects including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined)

IIT JAM 2021-Pattern of Test Paper

It will be objective that includes the following-:

  1. multiple choice question (MCQ)
  2. multiple select questions (MSQ)
  3. numerical answer type (NAT) questions

Joint Admission Test(JAM) is held for the comprehensive understanding of the candidates in various UG subjects as-:

Note-:A new paper on Economics(EN) is added to JAM 2021 onwards

JAM Scores

JAM scores will be used for admission into M.Sc(2 years), Masters in Economics(2 years), Joint M.Sc PhD, M.Sc PhD dual degree, M.Sc.MS research, PhD dual degree and the post-bachelor degree programme at IITs and BHU Varanasi.

The JAM score is used by other centrally funded technical institutions such as NITs, IIEST Shibpur, SUET Punjab, and IISERs for admission to the programme.

It is to be kept in mind that qualifying in JAM does not guarantee either admission to the PG programme or any scholarship/financial assistance.
