The IISER will start online registration process form May, 2025. The IAT (Aptitude Test) exam is conducted in every year for admission into IISER (Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research). All students can get admission into IISER only through IAT Exam.

IISER IAT applicablity
The IISER IAT is score also accepted by other eminent institutes such as IIT Madras. IIT Madras offers admission into its BS Medical Science and technology course through IAT score.
IISc Banglore offers admission to BS research programme admission through IAT Score.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have taken at least three subjects among Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics during their Class XII (or equivalent) examination.
- With 60% minimum marks aggregate in class 12th (55% for SC/ST/PWD).

Exam Overview & Marking Scheme
- The Question paper will be in English and Hindi Languages.
- IAT Exam will be conducted Computer Based Test (CBT) in centres across India.
- IAT will consist Total of 60 Questions, In which 15 questions each from Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics.
- Exam Duration – 180 Minutes.
- There Shall be 4 marks is awarded for each correct answer.
- Negative Marking – There shall be one marks is deducted for each wrong answer.
- Unanswered questions will be awarded 0 Marks.
