IISER 2024 Admission The application form is open for BS and BS-MS Dual Degree Program. IISER 2024 offers this course for student who has qualified Class XII (or equivalent) examination in science stream can apply to the BS (four year) degree / BS- MS (five year) dual degree programs in IISERs. Student must satisfy the eligibility criteria.

IISER 2024 Exam Schedule

All IISER admit students through a common application process. One application form is enough and valid for all the IISERs.

IISER 2024 Centres

IISER centres are at Behrampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram and Tirupati. The IISERs have generated an incredible amount of intellectual property in the form of publication and patents.

IISER 2024 Application Fee

Rs. 2,000/- for candidates applying under General, EWS, OBC, and OBC-NCL categories.

Rs. 1,000/- for candidates applying under persons with disabilities (PwD), persons registered as Kashmiri Migrants (KM), Kashmiri Pandit/Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-Migrants) and SC/ST category.

The entrance test is computer based test.

Test Language- Hindi and English.

Mathematics

It is important to note that for applying BS degree program, student must have Mathematics as one of the subjects in class XII examinations. But it is not mandatory for BS, MS degree programs. It is required for admission to BS degree program in Economics and engineering sciences at IISER Bhopal, for this student must have studied Mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2.

Cut off marks (previous year)

The cut-off marks in (10+2) as eligibility for admissions was kept at 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade for GEN/OBC and OBC-NCL categories and 55% for SC/ST/PWD in any recognized board.

Candidates must have at least three subjects Biology,Chemistry,Mathematics and Physics during their class XII or equivalent examination

Indian nationals and students belonging to PIO or OCI category are eligible to apply through any channel provided they satisfy the eligibility criteria described below.

PERFORMANCE CRITERIA IN CLASS XII (OR EQUIVALENT) BOARD EXAMINATION FOR IISER ADMISSION 2022:

1. The student must have marks within the category-wise cut-off above for their respective Class XII (or equivalent) Board examination for being eligible to get admission to IISERs.

The students who appeared in the Class XII (or equivalent) Board examination for the first time in 2022 and reappeared in any subject (for whatsoever reason) in 2023, and 2024 the better of two performances will be considered.

IISER 2024 Percentage

If a Board gives aggregate marks considering both Class XI and Class XII examinations (in the 10+2 system), then only Class XII marks will be considered.

If a Board gives aggregate marks considering the results of all three years of a 3-year diploma or courses of equivalent duration, then only the marks scored in the final year will be considered. Similarly, for boards which follow a semester system, the marks scored in the final two semesters will be considered.

 If a Board awards only letter grades without providing an equivalent percentage of marks on the grade -sheet, the candidate should obtain a certificate from the Board specifying the equivalent marks and submit it before the deadline of the mark-sheet submission. In case such a certificate is not provided by the Board, meeting minimum eligibility criteria will be assessed as follows: If CGPA/CPI is reported on any scale other than 10 (for example, 4 points or 8 points scale), an equivalent CGPA/CPI will be calculated as per the following formula: CGPA/CPI in a 10 point scale = (CGPA/CPI Obtained×10)/PS. Finally, the marks will be linearly scaled out of 500. (Here PS stands for Point scale used by the Board).

About Program

1.Bachelor of Science-Master of Science (BS-MS) Dual Degree

It is a five year dual degree program for the bright science students who have passed class XII. This program integrates classroom learning with research and provides ample scope for multidisciplinary interactions. Training during the program enables students to pursue a career in academia, R&D institutes and science based industries.

2. BS-MS (Dual Degree) program is offered in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Earth & Environmental Sciences, Mathematics, and Physics

IISER 2024 Scholarship

The scholarship is also awarded to students. KVPY scholar admitted to the institute would draw fellowship as per KVPY norms.

Inspire Scheme

A limited number of Inspire scholarships will be awarded for the students admitted through JEE Advance and SCB channels as the norms prescribed by DST Inspire scheme.
