One of the top management schools and a leader in honesty, inclusivity, and innovation, IIM Sambalpur, has announced a major change to its admissions procedure. The Trendsetter Institute will autonomously administer the admissions process for its flagship MBA program in the next school year 2025–2026.
The recently introduced MBA program in Business Analytics, which provides the possibility of a dual degree from an overseas institution, will also be subject to the same admissions procedure. This project marks a significant turning point in the institution’s history.

Through direct communication with applicants, IIM Sambalpur is demonstrating its dedication to creating a more comprehensive admissions process with this new admissions procedure. Additionally, it provides a consistent and efficient process for its MBA and MBA in Business Analytics programs. Additionally, candidates are given the flexibility to engage in in-person or virtual personal interviews through this procedure.
Notably, IIM Sambalpur uses a combination of CAT 2024 scores, academic records, professional experience, and gender balance to guarantee that admissions are merit-based. The institute’s website provides access to all of the information.

Shortlisted candidates after First Round
Students who make the short list following the first round will be notified by email by January 10, 2025, and they must register on the portal by January 25, 2025, at the latest. In the event that they are shortlisted, the candidates will need to provide the required papers, have their information updated, and specify their preferred method of interview.
Second List
The shortlisted candidates will be notified of the second list for in-person interviews, allowing them to select the times that work best for them.
Personal Interview
The dates of the in-person interviews are March 3, 2025, through April 18, 2025. The dates for offline interviews at the campuses in Sambalpur and Delhi will be announced after the time for online interviews is up.
