IICD Admissions 2025 – The registration is open for admission to UG, PG and Diploma courses. IICD is one of the leading design and craft institute affiliated to Vishvakarma University. The admission to UG and PG courses will be offered through common entrance test which will conducted online.

The institute was set up Rajasthan government in the year 1995 and since 2007 the institute is being managed by Ambuja Education Insitute under public private partnership. The institute is a pioneer in the area of crafts and design, the institute works towards the evolution of crafts and the crafts-persons in the contemporary socio economic context.

This programme is for UG and PG Diploma program. It develops the skills,knowledge and confidence in the following semester.
Important Point to remember
- Candidates have to opt for specialization when they fill the application form prior to entrance test.
- The syllabus and pattern of entrance exam has been given in the bottom of this article.

The institute has placement cell where institute helps its students to be placed in the companies. The record of past placement shows that good number of students opt for self-employment .

Creativity & Perception Test This test is designed to evaluate the abilities and interests in students, such as estimation of sizes and proportion, observation, synthesis and visual interpretation and general awareness.
Material, Color & Conceptual Test T
his test will assess the following abilities:
- Intelligent use of materials, conceptualize and realize a 3 dimensional form, skill of handling material.
- To observe, think and expand ideas, create solution based on a plan and strategy.
- Ability to provide multiple solutions to the given problem with written description.
- Personal Interview To evaluate the individual personality in the prospective candidates:
- Aptitude to crafts
- Intelligence quotient (IQ)
- Communication Ability
- General Awareness about Crafts & Design
- Overall Personal Achievements in academics and co-curricular activities.
- Portfolio – It is advisable to bring a few samples of your creative work for display during the interview, to allow others to understand your capabilities. It could be anything that you have done by yourself. Sketching, painting, embroidery, photography, worked with material, or have written anything creative, narrative etc
