IDFC Bank Scholarship to DU Students of Economics
In a significant gesture of support for academic excellence, IDFC FIRST Bank has sponsored scholarships for 70 students pursuing their Master’s degree in Economics at the prestigious Delhi School of Economics. The scholarship award ceremony took place at the Delhi School of Economics, where dignitaries from the University of Delhi and the academic community gathered to felicitate the awardees.
Prof Yogesh Singh, Vice Chancellor, University of Delhi, and Dr Vikas Gupta, Registrar, University of Delhi, distributed scholarship cheques to the students. Each student received a monthly scholarship of Rs 7,000, making it one of the highest amounts of scholarships awarded to MA Economics students in India.

The ceremony was also attended by Prof Ram Singh, Director, Delhi School of Economics; Dr Manish Kumar, Executive Director, Centre for Development Economics at Delhi School of Economics; and Prof Rohini Somanathan, Head of Department of Economics, University of Delhi.
