HPBOSE DElEd Dear students, if you are planning to become a teacher in school for Pre-Primary and Primary Classes in Government or Private School, you need to complete D.El.Ed Program from any recognized board or university approved by NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education). There are many institutions, universities and boards which offers these programs such as SCERT, NCERT, NIOS, IGNOU, Jamia Milia Islamia University and many other state and central universities including Deemed to be Universities in India approved by UGC and NCTE.

Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, Dharamshala has started registration process to get admission into D.El.Ed. for the session 2024-26. The details are ass follow

1. DIPLOMA IN ELEMENTARY EDUCATION (D.EL.ED.)

D.EL.ED. is a diploma-level course that can be pursued after 12. D.EL.ED. is a two-years course that is focused on child education. D.EL.ED. trains aspirants to teach the students belonging to the primary/upper primary level. The D.EL.ED. syllabus deals with subjects like Childhood and the development of children, Contemporary society, Pedagogy of environmental studies, and many more.

In Himachal Pradesh, Candidates need to qualify an entrance test (Common Entrance Test, CET) to take admission to D.El.Ed. programmes 2024-26. Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education conducts this CET on the behalf of SSA under elementary education department to the government of Himachal Pradesh. The successful candidates shall be called for counselling and seats shall be allotted on merit bases as per their choices.

HPBOSE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• Candidate seeking admission to D.El.Ed. course must have passed senior school certificate examination (10+2) from CBSE or its equivalent examination from any other recognized board or university
• Candidates appearing in the 10+2 or its equivalent examination are provisionally admitted and they have to produce original certificate of 10+2 or its equivalent examination at the time of counselling/screening
• Candidate should satisfy his or her eligibility before appearing and shall be personally responsible in case if he or she does not fulfill eligibility criteria.

Relaxation

5 % relaxation of marks in the qualifying examination would be given to candidates from reserved categories such as SC/ST/OBC/PHH/EWS

HPBOSE AGE LIMIT

• The age limit will be between 17 to 32 years as on the date of the conduct of D.El.Ed. CET -2024 for all candidates.
• 5 years relaxation of age in upper limit is allowed for candidates belonging to reserved categories.
• There will be no upper age limit in case of ex-servicemen candidates only.

There are total intake of 2450 seats out of them 900 seats are for Government DIETs while 1550 are for Privately affiliated Institutions in all the districts of Himachal Pradesh. • Admit Card

Candidates should download D.El.Ed CET -2024 Admit card though the official website www.hpbose.org 4 days before the exam. Admit card will contain candidates name, roll number, photograph, signature of the candidate, address of the examination centre and test schedule. Candidates are advised to keep their admit card in good condition for future reference.

• Exam Pattern for HPBOSE D.El. Ed Common Entrance Test- 2024

There shall be one question paper in four different series having questions of objective type/multiple choice, carrying 100 questions for 100 marks. Total duration of the exam will be of 120 minutes. The mode of examination will be offline and the answer would be mark on OMR sheet with blue/black ball point pen. There will be no negative marking in this exam. The question papers of Hindi, English and numerical ability shall be of 10+2 standard. The questions of general awareness will be mainly on Himachal Pradesh.

Minimum passing marks for D.El. Ed-CET 2024

1. 50% minimum pass marks for General category candidates for 50 marks out of 100
2. 45% minimum pass marks for reserved category (SC/ST/OBC/PHH) candidates 45 marks out of 100
3. 35% for sports persons (state and national level only) 35 marks out of 100
4. Merit list
5. Merit list will be prepared based on the total marks obtained in CET Exam
6. In case of tie up situation among the student, a candidate will be ranked higher than the rest on the basis of age. A candidate senior in age shall be ranked higher in order of merit. In case of more than 2 candidates get same marks with same age, then candidates whose names come first alphabetically in English will be taken up.
7. Counselling

There shall be no personal interview for selection of candidates however, counselling shall be held for ascertaining the credentials and sponsoring the candidates to different DIETs and privately institutions.

Counselling session shall be conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education(HPBOSE), Dharamshala for the allocating seats to the candidates based on his/her preferences and position in the merit list prepared based on entrance test D.El. Ed (CET) 2024. The date, time and venue of counselling shall be decided by the HPBoSE on its official website https://hpbose.org. No separate communication or letter for any round of counselling will be sent to any candidate.
