HP TET November 2024: Eligibility Criteria
The educational qualification required varies for each subject or post:
- TGT (Arts) – Candidates must have a BA or B. Com with at least 50% marks and a 1-year B.Ed. or a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- TGT (Medical) – Candidates should have a B.Sc. (Medical) degree with a minimum of 50% marks and a B.Ed. degree.
- TGT (Non-Medical) – A B.Sc. (Non-Medical) with 50% marks and a B.Ed. degree is required.
- JBT -A 10+2 pass with at least 50% marks and a JBT/ETT/Diploma in Elementary Education from a recognized board or university.
- Language Teacher (LT) – Candidates must have a BA with Hindi as an elective subject and a B.Ed. or a Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Shastri – A Shastri with at least 50% marks from an institution recognized by the Himachal Pradesh Government is required.
- Punjabi/Urdu Teacher -BA in the respective language with 50% marks and B.Ed. or Diploma in Elementary Education is required.
HP TET November 2024: Age Criteria
- There is no upper age limit for candidates applying for the HP TET 2024. Both fresh candidates and experienced teachers are eligible to apply.

General category – Rs. 800 per subject
SC/ST/OBC/PH category – Rs. 500 per subject
HP TET November 2024: Exam Pattern & Minimum Qualifying Marks
- There shall be one question paper in four different series having questions of multiple- choice/objective type, carrying 150 questions of one mark each to be attempted within 150 minutes.
- There shall be 60% minimum qualifying marks. (Relaxation upto 5% for SC/ST/OBC & PHH categories in qualifying marks). There shall be no negative marking. A candidate shall have to choose the correct answer and shade against the appropriate choice in the OMR response sheet with blue/blackball point pen adhering to the instructions provided.
- As the answers will be given with blue/black ball point pen by darkening the appropriate circle, the candidates will have no option to change the answers once given. Therefore, before darkening the circle, correct option/answer may be ensured.

Step-1: Open your search engine and visit on the official website of www.hpbose.org and click on the link for the HP TET November 2024 application.
Step-2: New users must first register by providing basic details like name, contact number, email ID, and other required information. After registration, a unique user ID and password will be generated.
Step-3: Log in using your credentials and fill out the detailed application form, providing educational qualifications, personal details, and the subject you wish to apply for.
Step-4: Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and any necessary educational certificates.

HP TET 2024 Exam Pattern and Syllabus
The HP TET 2024 exam will consist of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), each carrying 1 mark. The total duration of the exam is 2.5 hours. The syllabus varies depending on the subject for which the candidate is applying.
- TGT (Arts, Medical, Non-Medical): The syllabus includes questions on Child Development and Pedagogy, subject-specific topics, general awareness, and teaching aptitude.
- JBT: Questions will be asked from subjects like Child Development and Pedagogy, English, Hindi, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies.
- Language Teachers: The syllabus includes questions on the respective language, grammar, comprehension, and teaching methodology.
