The Commissionerate of Technical Education Gujarat has announced dates for the diploma to degree common entrance test (DDCET)-2025. According to official notification the registration Process will begin from January 27, 2025 and The Last date of Registration is March 30, 2025. Tthe examination will be held on April 19 for 39,500 degree engineering seats in 16 government engineering, 3 grant-in-aid and 119 self-finance colleges apart from 1,400 degree pharmacy courses in 3 government, 3 grant-in-aid and 98 self-finance colleges.

Why DDCET 2025 Entrance Exam Is Conducted?
The DDCET 2025 Entrance Exam Is Conducted For admission in the Second Year (3rd Semester) of Degree Engineering. (B.E./B.Tech.) after Diploma Engineering and in the Second Year (3rd Semester) of Degree Pharmacy after Diploma Pharmacy on Government seats which includes all sanctioned seats of Government and Grant-in-Aid Colleges and unaided Colleges of Gujarat, the State Government has decided to carry out offline examination (DDCET-2025) for the academic year 2025-26. Gujarat Technological University will be nodal agency along with for smooth conduction of DDCET examination.
What is Eligibility Criteria to apply for DDCET 2025?
- Students who have passed Diploma in Engineering/ Pharmacy from a recognized Board/University in the State of Gujarat in the previous year and seeking admission in Degree . Engineering/Pharmacy. OR
- Students who have passed in Diploma from a recognized Board/University. in the state of Gujarat in admission year as well as students who have passed in Diploma from a recognized Board/University across the country for 05% seats in Government Institutions (Candidates appearing in the last semester will be eligible.) OR
- Students having Bachelor of Science and Diploma Vocational from a recognized Board/University in Gujarat state as per provision of AICTE Norms.
- Candidates who have appeared for the examination of the backlog subjects (Sem. 1 to 6) to complete the diploma engineering and backlog of 1st and 2nd year of diploma pharmacy to complete diploma pharmacy and the results are yet to be declared can also apply for registration.

DDCET 2025 Marking Scheme
- DDCET 2025 Exam will be conducted Offline mode – Paper Based Test at various exam centers in the state.
- There shall be 2 marks is awarded for each correct answer.
- Negative marking – 0.5 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer and more than one attempted answer.
- Un attempted Answer will have zero marks.
